I have enjoyed writing for many years , and for the early part I wrote mostly horror, or what I considered to be horror. I wasn't until a few years ago when I first read 'Magician' by R. E. Feist, that I decided to start writing seriously. It was at the same time that I decided to try my hand a fantasy. At first, not really knowing where to start, I developed a few characters, and the seed of my world planted itself in my mind. Struggling with the technical side of writing (something which I still struggle with), I decided to start a learn at home course. A course which I have now taken a break from, wanting to pursue my creative ideas, rather than get bogged down in the process. I now have several completed short stories, one of which was published back in 2005, as well as the beginnings of my first novel. |
